I love peaches come spring and summer. They have a subtle yet sweet and peculiar taste. I found a bag of frozen organic peaches at my local health food store and bought them for smoothies…and let me tell you they taste great. 1 cup of peaches contains 10% DV of fiber and 19% DV of vitamin C. They are low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium. The non fat greek yogurt adds some protein – making you feel fuller longer and the berries add your dose of antioxidants. So I think this makes this peachy smoothie a great and refreshing way to start the day.
1 cup frozen peaches
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup non fat greek yogurt
1 cup almond milk or other light milk of preference
cinammon, just a dash
Blend all ingredients until smooth. Garnish with a slice of peach and a dash of cinnamon.
